Chelsea Marie. An original Grooby Girl. What I love about working with models like Chelsea is that she’s been with us since Jack Flash’s original shoot, as a slightly geeky girl next door, and she’s developed with us and other companies over the years to the star she is today. She has to be one of the models who has appeared the most with us, across almost every site. She always seems up for a shoot, and always delivers. It’s been great to watch these models grow and develop over the years.
2010 – Relocating from Hawaii to Los Angeles
In 2010, we relocated the Hawaii office to Los Angeles. We had a cool studio and office, Danny came along working graphics for us and both Frank and Buddy were shooting with us in LA, Tony in NY, Kevin Dong in Canada,
She debuted in 2009 (another reason to love that year) but it’s 2010 that I met her, and I think she really came of age. Morgan Bailey. I love her. It’s platonic but I just love her. She’s a friend, she’s someone I love to spend time with, it’s someone I’d reach out to if I need – … Read More
2009 – The Greatest Year in Trans Porn?
Was this the great period on trans porn? Many would think so. With Buddy shooting in LA, PK in Las Vegas, Tony in NY, Remy in Baltimore and a host of other producers shooting across the world, the content was amazing. However, it was also the time when piracy became rampant and while we continued to deliver great content, and new models our income was down. We were now charging $29.99 a month for 5 updates a week including 2 hardcores a month, but sales were down. We were hurt, but not as much as some of our competitors and … Read More
2008 – Diversity and Inclusivity
Frank Drachman I’d know for years. In the late 90s he’d had a trans site, and he designed some of the first graphics for the site. He’d been shooting for us in Portland area, and he was delivering models outside of the stereotype of what was expected. “Suicide Girls” was big, tatted models had been coming up, models without boob jobs, with short hair or alternative, skater, emo type looks. These were exciting and different. They didn’t please everyone, but they pleased enough and with our ethos of showing the widest range of models, while other companies focussed elsewhere, we … Read More
2007 – Buddy Wood
Buddy Wood joined us in 2006, but really started producing in San Diego in 2007. I can’t understate how much he brought to the show. He’s cool, he has a different vibe and he was the youngest producer next to me (we’re a year apart). All the other producers had a few years on us, and were a bit ‘old school’. Probably what many of the producers now thing of us! Buddy was an equal opportunity shooter, he was so inclusive that girls who hadn’t thought they could appear on a website, now realized they could. With Frank Drachman coming … Read More
