The Ms.Unique Award has been through a number of incarnations. First started to celebrate girls who were in the ‘alt.’ niche of piercings and tattoo’s, that became somewhat redundant when many of those girls crossed into the main model award categories (it wasn’t always the case), then it was Ms. Non-Typical, which was even harder to define. It’s probably important to clarify this category. There are 100’s of TS models working worldwide – but we’re primarily a US/Euro orientated show, so the nominees for the Best Non-US Performer are generally chosen from models who may work in other countries but who are mostly seen on sites or DVD’s, that are promoted to a Western audience. If we’re lucky (and we usually are) some of these models will be appearing at the March show.
